conservativejudaism.org: A good start
Maybe someone's listening, after all.
A tallit-and-tefillin-wearing woman in a traditional Conservative synagogue?! An unorthodox—and non-orthodox—perspective on Jews and Judaism from a perpetual misfit. This blog, welcoming the entire Jewish community, is dedicated to those who take Judaism seriously, but not necessarily literally.

Once upon a time, I belonged to a left-wing egalitarian Conservative synagogue, where I was one of a number of women who wore a tallit—and one of the few members who used an Orthodox prayer book (adding the Mothers, of course). Having moved since then, I now belong to a right-wing traditional Conservative synagogue, where I’m almost always the only woman wearing a tallit—and one of the few members who adds the Mothers. I seem destined to be forever . . . on the fringe.

but half the links don't work! Who tested this?
Sigh--here we go again. :( I certainly hope they get all the links working soon.
Who needs the OU for candle lighting times? Just go to hebcal.com and generate a list for the foreseeable future. And those nice USCJ calendars have NYC candle lighting times, too!
Steve, sorry for being unclear--what I really use the OU website for is not candle-lighting time, but, rather, the "z'manim," the official times by which the Sh'ma and Amidah should be recited. I don't believe I've ever seen z'manim on any calendar, and I don't see an option on hebcal.com for generating those times. Thus far, I'm found z'manim on ou.org (on the homepage--you can set the page for your location--and on the Holidays & Zmanim page, as well, for future days) and on chabad.org (click on Calendar, then Halachic Times (Z'manim)).
This is a great resource. Thanks for posting about this, Shira! (But I have to admit I'll be spot-checking their zmanim against the OU's for the first week, just in case).
Thanks, Katrina. This new website is a start, but much more work needs to be done. Unfortunately, this website is largely just a portal to the websites of the various constituent organizations of the Conservative Movement organizations, some of which are in dire need of reorganization--for example, the USCJ website is still a mess. Let's hope they can get their acts together.
